Dave Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 U Boats seem to have been in the news in the last week WW1 boat discovered off Britain, sunk after an action by 3 British ships. Interesting as this one was the first sub adapted to carry an aircraft. sunk after being rammed with several crew members killed. A hatch had jammed but when the divers found it all hatches had come off. The team had seached for this sub for a long time. It was declared a war grave. Ther second were 3 WW2 boats scuttled off Turkey after Romania changed sides. These boats had been brought overland to the Black sea, (?) and there was a very interesting pic of one of them being towed on a large trailer.
