LACKIE14
i recently came across an 1936 olympic judges red enameled badge still in its original case, the seller was insisting it was original, and was selling for £50.00, but once bitten twice shy. i was looking at the enamel it has a deep red hue their was no chips or scratches and now that i've actually seen the rear of several of these badges i feel i missed a beauty. how do you know if enamel is genuine? Kenny Andrew
Third reich enamel is usually opaque especailly red on party badges etc so you can see the stippling below this is always a good sign ,it will also look sixty years old and fit into the recess perfectly watch out for enamel which looks brand new and is not perfectly smooth like glass, there are probably other ways too, I have nice enamel repros in the replica case I will show you next time you are in which are very convincing in fact I think they might even be olympic judges so maybe you did'nt miss a beuty.
