Here is my newly acquired M1889 Bodeo revolver, these were made between 1889 and 1931. This is the enlisted model with an octagon barrel. The frame is dated 1919, with a Mida Brescia factory stamp. These guns have a folding trigger and are very simple and solid made firearm. Like other nations, the Italians contracted others to build these guns as demand outpaced production. Spanish factories were also tasked with making these revolvers. It fires a 10.35mm Ordinanza Italiana cartridge, weighs 2 pounds, 2 oz, and is just over 9 inches long. A lot of these have been coming out of Africa, Ethiopia especially.
