Gildwiller1918
Here is a Model 1907 Dreyse pistol, these were made starting in 1908 and production ended at the end of WW1. Like most guns of the period, they saw service decades after the Great War, with these being of particular interest to German Police units into the 1930s. This gun is a late first variant model, with the vertical ridges on the slide and this model saw the introduction of a screw through the handgrips. It is a very top-heavy gun and awkward looking, but from what I have read, it shoots very well. It is chambered in 7.65 (.32 cal) and weighs in at 1 pound and 9 oz. These guns were used by both German and Austrian units during the first war, mainly by officers. They were also re-issued towards the end of the second war to Volksturm and other auxiliary units.
