Lappland Shield

As you know, I love my Campaign Shields.

Look what picked up, a Lappland Shield, citation and other bits and bobs, all to the same chap with great provenance. 
 

Field made, no swastika, as it was produced immediately after the war by/for German units who policed the immediate aftermath. Look at the date of the citation-just post war.

only a Lorient Shield left to get…..watch this space!

They were made from whatever materials were available, copper, aluminium examples are known, and always without a swastika.

That’s true Paulchen, I’ve been collecting for many many years and turned down many until I could find one that was 100% legit.

Don’t trust any unless they have background.

Ps, and many citations are out there with dates from 44 etc, they are all phoney. Trust me I know my paperwork.
