Just got done reading the Death of an Army book, the siege of Kut, 1915-1916, referring to the often overlooked campaign in Iraq during WW1. Written by Ronal Miller, Published by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston 1970, 323 pp. I enjoyed the book, very well detailed and the information was presented in a manner that was easy to understand, even for novice historians or those not familiar with this area. Found this book in a antique shop for $1.50, could not argue the price.
