I can’t find any details on this either token or medal on 1 side the writing is Alfred von Schlieffen, Graf Alfred, von Schlieffen

Alfred von a was famous in the German military just before ww1

approx 43-44 mm wide 3mm thick and weighs 28.11 gr non magnetic
any ideas what it is or why it was made as I can’t find another 1

Probably part of a series of commemorative medals of Generals of the 1870 war. Fairly recent production, there is a small logo or trade mark of the maker to the right of the Victory Column. Looks like nickel-silver. Value ca. 40 Euros each. I think the series was brought out by Göde.
