Cholm Shield

Hi all,

This my first post in this forum.

Does this look like a legit Cholm Shield?

Came from a trusted source but I’ve never had one in my hand before.

On a Luftwaffe backing. Looks good, could well be an original. Have you checked to see if iron, you can try the magnet test.

Could you post a close up straight view of the head please? Appears to be panzer backing

Cholm shields are difficult, however this appears to be the accepted design known as the long M variant. You can see the center arm of the M touches the ground, whereas the center arm of the short M version does not touch the ground and stops midway. Both versions are now considered original.  Here is a short M version we had last year.
