Another new item, WW2 German Flak collar tab and shoulder board set for the 79th Regiment. Still researching info on this unit for now.

I think the R on the shoulder pieces denotes Reserve Flak Regiment 79 or Reserve Flak Abteilung 79, however, best to check that.

This was all I found:
Die leichte Flak-Abteilung 79 (mot) wurde im Oktober 1944 aus der leichten Flak-Abteilung 757 mit drei leichten Batterien gebildet und beim III. Flakkorps eingesetzt. Im November 1944 unterstand sie dem Stab des Flak-Sturm-Regiments 3 bei der 2. Flak-Division, ab Dezember 1944 dem Stab des Flak-Regiments 8 bei der 1. Flak-Brigade. No mention of "Reserve".

We still don't know about the Reserve unit, but keep looking.
