Got this old girl the other day,  it's an m1 garand  officially shortened from 16 inches to 10 inches , it was manufactured by PAL & is dated 1943 ,the  scabbard  is an m3 & was manufactured by Detroit Gasket . The bayonet is not mint by any means,  but I love the been there & done it patina on it.

Very nice Buster! Six civilian firms produced 1,540,578 M1905 bayonets from April 1942 to May 1943:

Wilde Drop Forge & Tool (WT)
Utica Cutlery (UC)
Union Fork & Hoe (UFH)
Pal Blade & Tool (PAL)
Oneida (OL)
American Fork & Hoe (AFH)

That you can fully see the date on a PAL bayonet is a minor miracle.  Good score!  👍
