NELSON Posted February 20, 2016 Share Posted February 20, 2016 The 2nd pattern Luftwaffe dagger has a pommel decorated with a swastika surrounded with oak leaves front and back. Construction of the grip ranged from genuine ivory, solid plastic, or wood covered with a plastic shell. The grip also has a single strand of aluminium or bronze wire running around it. The crossguard has the design of a eagle in flight symbolic of the Luftwaffe and the scabbard was made of steel. The dagger in the picture is in average condition with the grip and scabbard showing signs of ware but it is well made by the maker Schuttelhofer. 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
