Dave
Some pics of the show, will post more later The Show went very well. it was very busy on the Saturday with probably record attendance. Sunday was steady despite the old firm match. There were 3 bookseller stands so covered a wide variety of military and aviation titles. Lots of plastic models but a lot of collector models in the common scales.

Greg
Ps.... is that a mistake with the British carrier fighter/bomber to have the wing up with a bomb attached. Would the EVER do this? I have seen hundred of film footage and photos of US WWII carriers and never once have seen an aircraft with wings folded and ordinance attached. Dave
It sounds like you are right Greg. The trouble with shows is that the builder can be an excellent modeller but does not know the background of the prototype. I see German tanks with SS markings but crew in Heer uniforms and vice versa. Tanks in a battle zone with live rounds stowed on the turret roof etc.etc Some guys should do their homework! I'll stop here before I get my anorak on and do a right rant! Dave.

Dave
Some more pics from the nationals If anyone wants to see more let me know in terms of subject - armour, figures or aircraft Dave
Kenny Andrew
I'd like to see the ones which are more porny than that , perhaps a new section in the model forum ,model babes Also any Panzer figures in bigger scales
Dave
The inclusion of risque fantasy figures has caused the organisers difficulties in the past As there are a lot of kids visiting the show there have been complaints from parents. One year they made a screened off section for "over 18" models. This was a magnet for the kids who sneaked in. The accepted standard is "Girlie" ie that you might see in a newspaper or "lads mag". Anything else or that causing offence would be removed. Pity! Dave.
Greg
I think Kenny is hoping they create some babes in uniform models he can sell in the shop modlled off the forum area. personally I'll never understand it, painting an aircraft or building a tank... ok... gluing and painting boobs onto a plastic chick? this is a hobby? Kenny Andrew
Now that is a good idea Greg
Dave
Greg, the figures are resin, usually moulded in one piece or with arms and legs separate. The skill is in painting realistic flesh tones and materials such as pvc and leather. This is very hard to do well. It's not my thing but I appeciate such figures if done well but this is very rare. Oh I hear the hoots of laughter! The paint job is where the modeller will show his/her skill. No boob jobs here! Anyway aren't we the sick ones that would rather model aircraft and armour than semi-naked women! Back to the beevy and BiU
