regiment739
Hi all, just a quick intro first, my name is Ben and I collect German belt buckles. I was chatting via email to Kenny who asked me to drop by and post some belt buckles. As and when I get chance I will post various buckle from a variety of organisations. I am actually awaiting on 7 buckles to arrrive so they can get posted when they come. This buckle I am posting now is a FAD buckle. This is the Freiwilliger Arbeitdients, it was a voluntary labor service that was the forerunner of the RAD or Reich Arbeitdients. This is a nickel over steel buckle made by Assmann & Co, Ludenschied, Assmann being a very prolific buckle maker both post WW2 and during the TR era. This is a different variation in that it is marked Ges Gesch by the catch and it has the Assmann logo underneath the prong sleeve assembly, the Assmann mark is normally by the catch with the Ges Gesch
