The 1940 Christmas video has unfortunately been deactivated by youtube, apparently someone has taken offence, now not available in your Landes-Domain (Germany), perhaps this can still be viewed in the UK. I find it regrettable that after so many years, there are still people who want to blot out these cherished old memories. R.I.P. Walter and all the others.

  4. That's fine with moving to a separate chapter - I don't think I've ever seen any of the above colour photos before, very interesting. Agfa was one of the first companies to produce colour films, if not the first. The Allies did not use colour photography as much as the Germans, but a few key colour snaps were made, as we know.

Discovered, something has gone wrong with the above link to this very intersting page, that is, for Germany - the Gutenberg Organisation has shut this down for Germany, perhaps you can still reach it from the UK, recommendable if this topic interests you. Most of the pictures I loaded have also disappeared!

  6. Thanks Brodie, I have also found the caption and edited your second photo. I'll also tidy up this thread when it becomes bigger. Fritz I have moved your German post to a new section for German Color photos I think it will make an interesting thread too Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) plotters at work at Coastal Artillery Headquarters in Dover, December 1942.
