WW1 era Carcano Carbine

Recommended Posts

I recently picked up a M91 Cavalry Carbine or Moschetto per Cavalleria, this one is made by Brescia in 1912. All parts are matching and it's in over very good condition, mainly wear due to storage. A faint cartouche is visible on the stock, but it's worn to the point you can't make any details out.

Can you show it with extended bayonet?

Here you go Fritz, very simple design, unlock the lever and pull back to release, then flip around and throw the locking lever in place.

Carcano pig stickers. Cheepest rifle you can buy in the U.S.  Also forget Prvi Carcano ammuntion unless you want to hit the target next to the one you are aiming at. Wrong size and weight bullet. Slug the bore.

Three  styles of bayonets:

Good video clip. I have 2 of 3 types shown above. I really don't like carbines in general, preferring full length infantry models instead, but I got both of mine really cheap.

I got five, all bring backs at $50-125. 15 years ago  no one wanted them. Still a $200 rifle. But fun.
