  1. Have heard of this film, but have not watched it yet. It is of course banned in Western Europe and the EU, but our Russian friends have posted this, but has English sub-titles and an overspoken, rather monotonous Russian text. Still worth watching. This was a popular film in it's time, and like anything worthwhile, not free, or just banned. This version is dubbed with an Italian text.

  2. This WWI duo was given to me many years ago by the friend of Annette Crosbie (screen wife of Victor Meldrew ). Annette was a bridesmaid at her wedding. Gnr WB Crosbie, who was awarded a MID, was Annette Crosbie's father-in-law. A nice couple of medals in excellent condition.

  6. That's true! I wish I had kept the M1917 I had many years ago. It might have been an early WWII version since it was in really good shape with a good liner but I never validated its age. Thanks for the feedback, Gildwiller!

  7. Black Jack, the choice is yours on what you decide to do with the helmet. Yes, if you modify it and install a newly made liner you are changing its value and its history. I would recommend you leave it alone, however you could also purchase a newly made replica helmet and then apply whatever insignia you wanted.

  9. Here is a letter which was given to US troops entering the war in 1918, the letter itself was a mass produced facsimile of the Kings original writing and signature. It comes with the original envelope as well. A nice gesture to the rank and file.

  10. He also wanted an exchange for his nephew, Heinz Hitler. Both perished within a few months at the hands of the Russians, there is no record of what happened to them. Stalin was a tyrant comparable to Gengis Khan or Attila the Hun.
