Greg
do you place your collection on display? Have you created a cabinet, wall display or bunker to house the treasures? If so what do you use? Show some photos!
Graeme
I picked up a couple of cool tall display cabinets from Ikea for £30 a piece. I will post a pick some time soon. G
Greg
I picked up a couple of cool tall display cabinets from Ikea for £30 a piece. I will post a pick some time soon. G Can you specify which ikea cabinets you are using? In my flat I have a large set of ikea Ivar shelving units. These also come with cabinets you can pop in. I am thinking of buying the cabinet set, installing them into the shelving, installing a pegboard inside to display off of and installing a cabinet bolt lock to secure the collection when I am away. But if Ikea has other things more ready made I am all ears (I really want the locked function else I'll buy a gun safe to store things in when away)
Graeme
The simple answer is no...........not without visiting Ikea and god knows I hate doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it helps it begins with a D  Also there is no locking facility. They just look nice. B) Here are some (not very good) pics G
Greg
That looks really great though! I like the lamps in the cases too, great way to display medals to view the underside without touching them as well. Ps... cabinets are Detolf.... £35 Ikea
david f
I pla on getting a couple of those but as some of you know,my collecting habbits do have a tendancy to move around a lot!. Kenny Andrew
I would recommend them Dave, we tell all our customers about them ,there great for toy soldiers too ,it's amazing how Ikea can make something like that and still make a profit at only £35 and for an extra fiver you can get a fitted light
Ross
After months of searching I have managed to find a supplier of those nice leatherette boxes of various dimensions and depths great for single small items and larger collections. Bought loads of them now have militaria on every available surface lying about.

Greg
I'll add photos of the 'Sheridan bunker' as the wife is kind enough to allow me to have one. Note this comprises 1/10 of my collection (50 of over 200 military books and a handful of nearly 100 early 20th century bayonets). I plan to have the rest freight shipped to me later in the year. I have absolutely no clue where to put it all. The helmets, RPGs and Artillery shells will probably stay in the United States for fear of customs issues, though the bayonets should (I hope) arrive without issue! Kenny Andrew
Lovely collection Don I like you camo M16 helmet , what is the model tank?
don
Thanks Kenny The m16 is the only thing that I have picked up from the streets.I got it in a yard sale in town for $20 Canadian....You do not find this stuff on the streets....It was not long ago that people threw dads old war stuff in the garbage....We dont want that nazi stuff....This is the way some people thought over here...tough sleding in the wastelands...The tank is a cast iron or whitemedal that I got from a auction I think a russian type...If you would like a close up let me know.I also tend to collect from the low end of the scale....I do have fun
