hi

iam going to prague in feb is there any shops or markets were there is stalls selling commie surplus or ww2 items thanks the baron.

Hi Baron, not sure about WW2 shops ,there should be plenty of Soviet stuff there but be careful for WW2 German items ,that's where all the clever fakes are coming out of these days.

Hell half the Russian stuff is even fake these days, all the big fur hats and russian badges at least!

is prague a hotbed of fakes ? as i would like german ww2 stuff , but i find bolshevik stuff well somewhat distastefull imagine anyone killing there own royal family thats just not nice yours herr baron

hotbed of fakes is a very accurate way of describing Prague and the various other East Europe destinations, we get people in the shop almost every week with items from the East which were sold as original and are fake or fantasy items , I also believe Prague is the home of the high end fake Para helmets which have been flooding the market for the last few years.If your going to Prague best to stick to the night life ,even then you have to be careful :o

leave ww 2 stuff alone.All fake.Plenty of soviet stuff though.Was there weeks after the wall came down and even then all the ww2 stuff was fake.Hasnt improved last time either.
