Just got this in today guys thought you might like :)

Price: £895.00 / $1,315.65

Second model with elliptical frame folded along the centre line by means of two articulated joints tightened with butterfly nuts. This was a light and practical means of transport for light troops with limited motorised units such as Airborne and Commandos. The bike is in very good condition and can still be rode even the brakes still work, several of the parts are replaced such as the tyres and seat however the majority of the bike is period and we will be quite happy to provide more information if requested.A very rare item.

That is great, I've always liked the look of military bikes... very old history, love the Swiss Bike Troops round about 1900... great stories from the start of WWI of Bike Troops starting the invasions toward Belgium/France too.

And today people are STILL selling fold down bikes and new fangled contraptions for the office commuter... if only they knew the history of the type of bike!
