In the united States  there are around 38-40 B17s that survive in complete shape of which approximately nine still fly at air shows.  One just was lost.

You might remember also the crash of a Spanish built Heinkel He 111 in 2006 owned by the "Confederate Air Force", both men on board were killed and the plane was unfortunately a complete write off. There is a post about it somewhere in the Forum. This was the last airworthy example of it's type.

Very unfortunate incident. Clearly the smaller aircraft flew into the bomber. Hopefully this will not put off any future events.
