Kenny Andrew Posted September 4, 2022 Share Posted September 4, 2022 I'm no expert with M1 helmets but I would say 1950's, WW2 helmets had different liner webbing and I believe fixed bails holding the chinstraps. Gildwiller1918 Posted September 4, 2022 Share Posted September 4, 2022 The OD webbing color was introduced in late WW2, however the chinstrap design is a type used from the 1950's to the 70's. The shell may or may not be WW2, it is a rear seamed model. Do you see a heat stamp? It would be located towards the brim on the interior of the shell.
