This knife came up for sale at a local auction listed as a German Paratroopers style knife, is it real or fake.

I would say it is a fake/copy, it should not have an eagle like that, so don't go buying it.

Hi, I believe this to be a common fantasy item that was produced in the 70’s.

I would also say its a fake. There were SS paratroops during the war, but not many. As with any SS items, I would be very suspicious.
