Iron Cross Repair ?

I have an Iron Cross and the front and back pieces are separating from the actual cross. Is it a good idea to have it repaired or is it best to leave it as is?

I would leave it as it is, it's been that way for a long time and probably adds a bit of character, also nice to see how they are constructed. If you wanted another in nice condition you could always pick one up.

A skilled jeweller could do this, before the cross finally falls to pieces.
