WW2 Era Italian Carcano Carbine M91

Here is my newly acquired M91 Carcano Carbine. This rifle was introduced in 1893, based upon the longer model 1891 Carcano rifle. Originally designed for cavalry units, it eventually made its hands into many other types of units. This model features a foldable bayonet, which can be locked into the closed or open position. The rifle used 6.5X52mm and fed by en bloc clips. This one is dated 1938 made by Beretta. This was one of a large cache found in Italy recently sitting in government storage, they were released for very good prices, all matching, excellent condition.

Nice one. Do you also have the long rifle version?  Another intesting one is the Swiss Vetterli and the bayonets, especially the long sawedge version, these have always been in demand and still seem readily available and affordable. There are versions with a leather and a later steel scabbard. (Internet photos)

I don't have the long Carcano version yet, on my list though.

The Austrian M.95's are also interesting.
