WW1 period Black Watch cap badge. Die-flaw version.

1901-1937 pattern, other ranks, Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) cap badge struck in white metal. There's a small die-flaw which shows as a misshapen "blob" to the right and below the Sphinx plinth.

I'm no badge expert so it had me scratching my head. Apparently this is a recognised and not totally unusual feature on some original WW1 era struck Royal Highlanders other rank cap badges. The flaw is always the same size, in the same place (made by the same die).
