Eddieq Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Here’s something real interesting that I picked up today. Three signatures on one item all relating to German aviation with some interesting photos:- The three signatures are Generalleutnant Hans Baur, Lieutenant Ludwig Weber, Wilhelm Hillmann. For those unfamiliar with the individuals, they are:- Hans Baur - WW1 pilot and more famously known as Hitlers personal pilot; Ludwig Weber- WW1 fighter pilot and pilot instructor who famously taught Herman Goring how to fly; Wilhelm Hillman -WW 1 pilot and German pioneer aviator who designed the Markische DI aircraft The photos are also interesting, they show a playful picture of Hans Baur showing his duelling scar, Webber in his WW1 fighter, Hillman in his Bristol in 1913 and finally Hillman in his Taube at Halberstadt in 1913. I think these are a great group showing three people with their own places in German WW1 avaiation - some of whom impacted WW2 also! 4 Quote
