Kenny Andrew
Excellent stuff Don I like Ost Front items too Here are the awards my uncle was entitled too, unfortunately they are not his as the Russians took all his awards.I had to gather these myself and the court mounted set I got made up ,looks like a few items you have would up grade my collection such as the Austrian Ost Front and the court mounted pair. We have just found out too from translating the diaries he was also entitled to the Panzer 75 although we are not sure if he ever received it.Would he be entitled to a long service medal? I think he joined the army in 39/40 ?

Kenny Andrew
cheers Guys, I've since picked up a mini EK1 and mini WB since that photo was taken, your right a mini Ost would be good too especially if it had some of the other awards attached The third medal is for Austrian veterans of WW2. I still have 2 of his medals these were kept at home and the Russians did not get these.
Fritz
A nice collection... What is one on top right? Might also think about a ost mini stickpin, also think you can gwt with a ek2 on it. TO bad his awards wete taken away. That happend alot. don The cross on the top right is a postwar Austrian decoration for soldiers who took part in WW2 - "Für Heimat und Volk", however not sure if official, or semi-official. The wearing of decorations in Austria after WW2 was not legal, but certainly tolerated in remoter regions - you can see that these decorations are typically Austrian-mounted on a trifold ribbon. The wearing of such decorations in public nowadays would now be considered a major offence in Austria, Germany and France. Elsewhere, no offence.
