Early Imperial St. George Cross

I've been researching more on the Imperial Russian items I have and noticed this cross to be very early. From my understanding, they began numbering in 1809. This cross is #2606 could have been awarded between 1809-1812 would be my guess. I haven't been able to find other examples online with this low of number to compare. Looking for any opinions on the Cross and estimate value. Many thanks as always!

That is a low number and a very early award. In the Russian state archives are lists of all recipients of the Georgskreuz, as far as I know. Perhaps you could find a way to their archives online. Otherwise there may be some older publications on this subject. Judging by the look of the ribbon, this may have been awarded to a non-Russian national, such as a Prussian. Would be very careful of that ribbon, as it is frail.

CROIX DE SAINT-GEORGES, DITE DE KULM, POUR PRUSSIENS
Croix en argent; 33mm. Numérotée 2476 au revers. [320].

Créée le 30 août 1837, jour de l'inauguration du mémorial russe de Kulm, sur le modèle légèrement modifié de la Croix de Saint-Georges pour sous-officiers et soldats de 1807, par le tzar Nicolas I en faveur des sous-officiers prussiens survivants qui avaient participé à la bataille de Kulm (Août 1813). A la date du 29 juin 1841, 4264 croix ont été distribuées et 236 renvoyées à Saint-Pétersbourg, les titulaires étant décédés ou n'ayant pas été retrouvés. Ces derniers exemplaires furent fondus.

Avers: Une croix pattée, comme la croix de Saint Georges, avec au centre, St Georges à cheval tuant le dragon.

Revers: Au centre, le monogramme du saint. Sur la branche supérieure, le chiffre du tzar Alexandre I A I, sur la branche de gauche, la lettre N gravée, et sur la branche de droite, le numéro, également gravé.

Ruban orange à trois raies noires, de l’ordre de Saint-Georges.
