Gildwiller1918
Found this recently, still trying to identify its origins, I'm thinking French, or possibly Belgian? It is marked "Subsistanaces Militaires 1908" it is stamped on both sides.

Fritz
First one could be French or Belgian, but a Belgian would normally be in two languages? French and Flemish. The second one is abreviated for Heeresverpflegung. The third example has someones name printed, and the eagle has been deleted by print, possibly done post-war
Gildwiller1918
Yeah, that was my thought about Belgium as well.

Fritz
You can read more on this database: https://portal.ehri-project.eu/units/de-002429-r_15_vii Die Reichsstelle für Getreide Die RfG wurde errichtet am 30. Okt.1934 (RGBl. I, S. 917-923) und 31.10.1935 (RGBl. I, S. 1280). Last example is of course, not military, state controlled property for fair distribution at an affordable price.
Gildwiller1918
Thanks Fritz! I appreciate the info. I got all the German sacks in a deal awhile back, not really my area of collectability, but they were pretty cheap.
Fritz
Nevertheless, historical items, which you don't have today.
Gildwiller1918
I did find out the first sack listed is French, I have seen other sacks of this type with the same markings from the 1870's onwards.
