An unused set of cockades (ca. 33mm) for the Tschako of Regiment 108, presumably from original manufacturer sample card. Extremely hard to find. One of the main manufacturers was Osang in Dresden, however, they may be by Funke & Brüninghaus, as they came with a large collection of other samples.

Purchased in 2003, as usual, cockades were missing. To one side is a cardboard immitation of a cockade. Otherwise almost mint and 1915 dated.

Hello Fritz, you've got quite the nice collection of uniforms.

I actually live in Saxony and was interested to know if you do too. Or if not what made you collect saxon Uniforms.

On a different note i was wondering if you happen to be selling some uniforms?

Not for sale. These items emerged on the market around about 1990, vor und nach der Wende - uniforms are getting too hard to find nowadays. I collect all the German states. I used to live in Ostberlin, but moved back to the west nearly 20 years ago.  There are a few bigger militaria dealers and auction houses in some of the bigger cities, they get an occasional good turnover in uniforms, but getting very expensive now. I started collecting in the mid 1960s, and even then things were hard to find. It takes years to build up a collection. You can still find a lot of items through internet im In- und Ausland. Abgeben ist nichts, habe keine Lust wieder von vorne anzufangen!
Es gibt einen Beitrag über Unformen und Kopfbedeckungen der sächsischen Artillerie, schon gesehen?

Hello

Is this button for wear on a Saxon collar? As you can see it is marked Osang Dresden to the rear. It is 25mm in diameter.

Is it possible to date? The metal is white and polished.

Many thanks
