Skylinechili
Trying to identify this eagle. Is it Military related, anyway to date? Ever since I can remember it sat behind glass in my father's bookcase. The eagle is hollow metal, paint is old and flaking. Base is marble. The hardware that holds eagle to the base has been replaced with modern hardware. Can't seem to find any stamps or markings.
Fritz
Probably post World War 1, till around mid 1930s, just a rough guess. The metal seems to be zink, not bronze, not quite a mass production, but not rare, so it would have not been astronomicly expensive in it's day. Still a good keep sake, was probably kept as a desk ornament or on a pedestal. May have had an aviation association, or just simply patriotic. Maybe some research can give more information. No maker's marks or artist's signature? Undoubtedly designed and cast with great skill. 2
Skylinechili
I'll need to examine it closer in better lighting. I'll update if I find maker. Thanks
