Achtung Spitfire! Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Just added these three nice examples of WW2 Japanese Hand Grenades: A Type 97 hand grenade (left) ,a type 97 ceramic practice grenade (centre) & a type 4 ceramic grenade (right). Incorrect pin on the type 97 but I have a relplica on order. Obviously the type 4 ceramic has a repro fuse assembly but the body has a nice manufacturers stamp on the base. All hard to come by in the UK so 3 nice finds and a nice trio of a collection The correct pin. Photo source Wikipedia. 4 Quote
Gildwiller1918 Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 Nice examples! I have not moved into this area of collecting yet. 4 Quote
Achtung Spitfire! Posted December 28, 2020 Author Posted December 28, 2020 (edited) They came up as a trio and caught my eye so I grabbed them. They're tiny, considerably smaller that a Mk2 Pineapple I'll post a comparison photo. Cheaper in the States I think. Looking at Nambu Type 14 pistols to continue with the Japanese theme ..... maybe Edited December 28, 2020 by Achtung Spitfire! unfinished 4 Quote
Gildwiller1918 Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Yes the Japanese items do appear to be easier to find here in the US. 3 Quote
