British '37 Pattern E-Tool

Just picked up this very nice condition '37 pattern E-tool. The carrier pouch looks unissued and is dated 1943, the metal shovel/pick head is dated 1944. The helve of the tool does not have the bayonet modification for mine probing (designated the Mk II helve, introduced in 1944). So I would guess the helve is the older 08 Mk I pattern which was made obsolete in 1923, but re-introduced in 1941, it is unmarked and undated.

A lucky find, becoming harder to get and more expensive, I missed a few cheap offers a few years back.
