WW1 German Smoke Grenade

Here is a period photo of the Hand-Nebelbombe, which was made from two halves of stamped metal, with a paper lining that provided a cushion for the filling. The grenade used the same type of fuse as the Kugel/Egg models. It was filled with chlorsulon-acid, which produced a thick cloud of smoke, which also was toxic. I have yet to see one of these for sale.

Another image with the belt carrier, also similar to the Kugel model.
