Gildwiller1918
Here is a WW2 era Russian ceramic grenade (inert), with a Koveshnikov type fuse, which was used on the F1 types as well. Not much is known about these grenades, it has been speculated they were made in 1941 around the Leningrad area when the Germans had the Russians on their heels and they needed ordnance in anyway they could get it, others have said they are simply training grenades. In any case, there is hardly any official documentation on them. The body itself is ceramic, with a threaded bushing that is held in place by a putty like substance, this allows a fuse to be inserted into the bushing. Ceramic grenades are not uncommon, the Japanese also used them in the latter half of WW2.
