Hello again.

I have a cork helmet bought a few years ago and have no idea about it. I have A bit of research on the name inside, below. But not much else. Told it might be inter war, none one seems to know it. The patch is double sided which I can not find any info on either.DSC02753.thumb.JPG.cc853197bcbec0b5b5e99190c298478e.JPGDSC02755.thumb.JPG.62d91307439a759875274e2ca190a441.JPGNWolseley7.thumb.jpg.22090ea8db64ffb4b844eb102db9dcb3.jpgunnamed.jpg.039b9e8fb1b5e9e188b9e4b7b389c56e.jpgGround crew North Africa.

J. Sharp named in head band. John Sharp died as a member of the RAF 158th bomber squadron, 11/04/1944, in a Halifax over France in a raid on rail facilities. The 158th spent all it’s time in Europe but did end up doing transport runs to India and the Middle East. But the mother squadron from which the 158th was formed operated in Malta, Egypt and the Western Dessert campaigns. J Sharp died before the squadron began runs to the tropics.
