Gildwiller1918 Posted June 21, 2020 Share Posted June 21, 2020 Here is a nice 1917 dated Tornister pack. It is also marked "331 & BD III, 1917", meaning it was used by a Bavarian unit at some point. Fritz Posted June 22, 2020 Share Posted June 22, 2020 You should treat the leather to preserve it, esp. the leather binding to the edges, which was originally greygreen leather. I have the earlier fur covered version. Unfortunately, I don't have the leather straps for attaching mess tin (2) and ground sheet (3).
