Luftwaffe buckle

I wanted some opinions on this buckle and if it’s original. I picked it up for $50 from a local gun shop.

Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle, aluminium construction. The manufacturer is Asmann in Lüdenscheid in raised lettering (?) The buckle seems to show some wear to the surface of the eagle, as could be expected after service wear, also the loop fitting for the belthook at the rear. What makes me suspicious is that the dots suddenly end where the bar fitting begins on the outside. The rear also looks very clean and no grime over the years, the roller bar does not seem to show any wear, it would normally have a smooth glance with partial patina and grime. However, this could have been cleaned, the surest and safest way (for aluminium) is warm, soapy water and a toothbrush, thoroughly rinsing and drying afterwards, this does not harm the buckle, but enhances the look slightly.
Your photos are good, but I would try to get a few more opinions on this, otherwise a nice looking Luftwaffe buckle.

I stated maker as Asmann, but as Kenny states, it must be Aurich.

Hi Tony, the maker is Hermann Aurich of Dresden. There are some very good copies of this alloy buckle about, but I think yours is OK
