WW1 US Flashlight

Here is a WW1 US flashlight or Beacon Light. It was designed to be used in a handheld manner or be hung from the tunic buttons with the use of the leather strap on the reverse of the light. This light has the original battery inside, but is no longer functional. It is similar in design to other European types in use at the time. An interesting piece, one that is often overlooked from most uniform displays.

My grandfather had this particular flash model, and he brought this flashlight from WW2. He said that he bought this flashlight from an old man in France. I always thought that it was a headlamp, not a usual flashlight. I think this model is pretty the same with some construction headlamps. Hopefully, today exist, more comfortable flashlight models that you can use for different purposes. If you are unfamiliar with the most effective flashlight models, I recommend looking for the vont flashlight models. I have used these flashlights for a long time and have never had any issues.
