Trench art typically refers to souvenirs and other items made from artillery cases and other objects during and after WW1. In this thread you can post pictures of these items.

Here is a WW1 British 4.5 inch Howitzer cartridge casing, dated 1916. It appears to have been cut down for its new role as an ashtray. Along the outer rim are 4 medallions soldered which show a Rooster with the French Flag, the sun rising and an artillery piece, so possibly a French artillery unit.

Here is a 75mm shell casing, with a flower motif, engraved with "Verdun 1918".
