Gildwiller1918 Posted October 29, 2019 Author Share Posted October 29, 2019 Here is a WW1 British 4.5 inch Howitzer cartridge casing, dated 1916. It appears to have been cut down for its new role as an ashtray. Along the outer rim are 4 medallions soldered which show a Rooster with the French Flag, the sun rising and an artillery piece, so possibly a French artillery unit. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
