Fritz Posted October 7, 2019 Share Posted October 7, 2019 I have seen various bits of this. Interesting film, but from the Norwegian point of view, very over-dramatised. The King simply fled to England. There was basicly little resistance from the scanty Norwegian militia. Apart from at the Oslo Fjord with the shore batteries, and the episode at Oslo airport, here and there, there was isolated resistance. The main opposition was from British, French and Polish forces which had already landed. In Denmark the King stayed put and sat out the rest of the war peacably.
