Greg
Sounds great Kenny! How about a photo of the lot is you have it? What is the story behind such a group? Vet bring back? Collector who disposed of collection? Take a look at the K98 bayonet. There should be a letter code on both the scabbard and the ricasso of the blade. Depending on what they are a BCN member will buy them sight unseen asap. (I'll let you know whatcha got if you post it) -G

Greg
Bayonet is a KS 98 police parade bayonet, private purchase made by Alex Coppel. The eagle on the stag horn grips is original and authentic. They do not designate anything special but are just ornamentation.

Greg
BCN reply regarding authenticity of belt being Water Police: Greg, the gold police belt buckles were also worn by Traffic Policemen (Verkehrspolizei). If the tab or belt is brown it is for the traffic police and not the Wasserschutzpolizei. There were also WSP units on the Berlin waterways and their belts were black. Kenny Andrew
Cheers Greg, I can confirm the belt is black, I will try to get it on the site next week
Fritz
Belts were brown for the Gendarmerie and black for the remaining police. Tabs were never black. There is no such thing as "black leather", leather is by nature brown, and is only blackened on the outside, when that is relevant.
