Fritz
Views of the interior of a Heinkel He 111, the cockpit with pilot, right, and observer left, behind them, either the air gunner/mechanic or the radio operator. Other views show the place of the wireless operator and the bomb racks. A further picture shows a He 111 of KG 26 over Norway in 1940, looks like 1H+DK are the markings?
Fritz
A reconstruction of the upperdashboard (Gerätebrett), apparently in collection of Imperial War Museum, not quite complete
Gildwiller1918
It is amazing how small the interiors of the WW2 planes were. The movies and TV make them look much larger that what they were.
Gildwiller1918
I remember at the Frankfurt airport in the 1980s they had a nice restored (at least externally) HE-111 on display on the roof. I used to go up there and check it out while waiting for my flights. Don't know what happened to it.
Fritz
Perhaps it went to the Technik Museum Sinsheim. This is a Spanish made example repainted in colours of Kampfgeschwader 4 - winter Eastern Front Here with the wrong engine shape and apparently no swastikas
Gildwiller1918
Quite possible, I used to go to that museum as well as the one in Speyer quite often, very nice places.

Gildwiller1918
Nice image, I wonder if this particular aircraft was undergoing maintenance as there is a indicator gauge missing. Great detail!
Fritz
I didn't notice that, see now. No idea. Maintenence was regularly carried out normally.
