Kenny Andrew
very good Paul, could you give a brief translation of what is happening for our non German speakers?
Fritz
Prior to the scene here, the two heros depicted, Mario Naujok and Michael Ehrenreich and a few others had a bit of a party in the old house opposite a section of the Berlin Wall. On the other side was a photo reporter from the West German "Bild" Newspaper, who photographed them in a compromising scene, where they were splashing down on the wall. The West papers were reguarly diligently read by the "STASI" (Staatssicherheit), and they noticed the front page headlines and photo. This was reported to the school authorities of the two responsible for the scandal. The scene starts in the study of the school misstress, the one with the "face", present are also two female representatives of the FDJ, who share the moral indignation. Visit from a member of the STASI. The two culprits report to the headmisstress, and remark in a whisper, "Oh, oh, Visit from the STASI". They are then confronted with the offence and the evidence and are then expelled from the Wilhelm Pieck Grammar School (Erweiterte Oberschule Wilhelm Pieck). I would not have liked to have been in their shoes!
