Fritz Posted December 17, 2022 Author Share Posted December 17, 2022 Some new additions to the Museum, post-war period Polizei Schleswig-Holstein, cap and armbadge for the old green uniform and a ribbon for the Sturmflut Medaille, 1962 I have seen the medal without a ribbon and intend to get this next. Just received: Sturmflutmedaille 1962, Schleswig-Holstein version. Green police uniform worn from 1981 till 2006, thereafter replaced with an American style darkblue pyjama type uniform and "batman" cap. His grandfather, Hermann Griem from Hamburg, served in Kaiser-Franz-Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr.2 and Garde-Füsilier-Regiment. He lost his left arm in WW1. Militär Paß Wehrpaß from 1940, as Landwehr II. Aufgebots, as he lost one arm. Fritz Posted March 5, 2023 Author Share Posted March 5, 2023 m Februar 2012 kam das Ehepaar Druve aus Norderstedt ins Heimatmuseum und übergab den Mitarbeitern ein großforma- tiges Wandbild von den Wandsbeker Husaren. Das Foto zeigt die Unteroffiziere des Regiments vor dem Kasernengebäude 1898. Die mit einem damals üblichen breiten antiken Rahmen ver- sehene Aufnahme sollte dem Großmüll überantwortet werden und konnte dank der Aufmerksamkeit von Rudolf Druve und seiner Frau vor der Entsorgung gerettet werden. Fritz Posted April 5, 2023 Author Share Posted April 5, 2023 Gefecht bei Altrahlstedt (Siek), Dezember 1813 Der Tod des Oberst Bonniche Bonnigsen am 6. Dezember 1813 Die Schlacht bei Siek auch Schlacht bei Alt-Rahlstedt war ein Gefecht während der Befreiungskriege nahe dem stormarnschen Dorf Siek. Im Verlauf des Herbstfeldzuges von 1813 rückten russisch-preußische Truppen gegen das von Franzosen besetzte Hamburg vor. Bei Siek trafen russische Kosaken und auf französischer Seite kämpfende dänische Dragoner aufeinander In Erinnerung blieb die Schlacht durch den dänischen Obersten Bonniche Bonnichsen. Dieser konnte wegen seines erschöpften Pferdes am Ende der Schlacht nicht fliehen und lehnte das Angebot eines Trompeters ab, dessen Pferd für die Flucht zu nutzen. Bonnichsen überlebte die Schlacht nicht, soll im Anschluss an die Schlacht aber von den gegnerischen preußisch-russischen Truppen mit allen militärischen Ehren begraben worden sein. Sie handelt vom dänischen Oberst Bonniche Bonnichsen. Dessen Pferd war vom Kampf zu erschöpft, um bei der Flucht eine Hecke zu überspringen. Ein Trompeter namens Schuster bot ihm sein Pferd an, der Oberst lehnte ab. „Das Leben eines Trompeters ist so gut wie das Leben eines Obersten“, soll er gesagt haben. Schusters Antwort: „Vielleicht, aber nicht so wichtig. Ich werde meinen Obersten nicht verlassen. Und will der Herr Oberst mein Pferd nicht haben, so lasse ich es zu den anderen laufen.“ Bonnichsen starb beim Kampf, sein Grab soll in der Feldmark zwischen Stapelfeld und dem Braaker Krug liegen, heute ist es nicht mehr erkennbar. From the estate of Reservisten-Gefreiten Böe, 1. Esk., Husaren-Regiment 15, 1911-1914. He later reached the rank of Sergeant.
