Fritz
This is a unique item, a peaked cap in peacetime quality from the last staff officer in 1914 of Husaren-Regiment 15 - it was worn by Major Freiherr von Tettau. Inside the fine white silk lining is a faded gold embossed monogram T under a baron's coronet, which exclusively identifies this as such. It came from an old and extensive collection, auctioned off a couple of years ago from the estate of the collector, who owned a private museum devoted solely to the cavalry regiments of the "old army". The cap is of fine dark blue cloth, the band is lemon yellow, both edges piped in white, the crown piping also white. Complete with the officers cockades, Prussia and Reich. The cap shows very little wear and is of finest private purchase quality.
