May 1945 shows he must have been interned for a while, it was signed in St. Gallen / Schweiz, returning from there just after the war's end. Stamp of Gendarmerie St. Gallen, 15. Mai 1945 - Oberjäger (Unteroffizier der Jäger/Gebirgsjäger), born 26.11.1922 in Prost*, appeared at this post, and is starting his journey home, signed by the Postenführer. *Prost - could not find an area of this name. There is a town called Prosit in East Prussia.
