NELSON Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 Messerschmitt Bf-109 1523 was involved in combat with British fighters over southern England on 28/8/40. The aircraft was hit and the pilot baled out and was later captured. At 4.55pm the aircraft crashed at South Alkham in kent. S/L Peter Townsend possibly shot it down.
