Something a bit different for a change,
part of Zeppelin LZ24 shortened to L3
From of all places a museum that masqueraded as a theatre
the Whitehall theatre of War ,
which closed in 2004 was owned , by and you'll never believe this !!...
by none other than "PAUL RAYMOND ESQ!"
he of the naughty revue bar and called the king of porn!
he bought the lease in 1968,
the building housed his collection of ww1/ ww2 militaria,
as the attached label shows,
its not often you can pin down a piece of a zeppelin,
from start to finish,
the first photo shows the building in the 1980s
the next 2 show the piece of frame with the canvas outer cover still in place
the 4th shows a Part number
and the 5th shows L3 in action moored outside its hanger

The last photo shows a collage of photos inc one of the raids course etc
the link below traces the history of L3 upto is final flight that ended in Denmark ,
so much history from a piece of metal and canvas
