I.D WRIST TAGS WW1

Something personal for a change,
an I.D wrist tag,
that belonged to one
Gunner 107845 F.C HINDES.
544th. household siege Battery,...
R G A (Royal Garrison Artillery)
B E F.
and has WESLEYAN METHODIST as his religion
also notable is the rear that has EPNS stamped on it
electro plated nickel silver,,
its in remarkable condition for its age as the base metal is not showing through,
It does show however that an ordinary soldier had a plated one,
where as an officers would have been solid silver,,
i just wonder what it cost back then,
as being B E F he went over seas at the beginning of ww1?
